Scheels kids triathlon 2013

The boys did the triathlon this morning.  They each swam, biked 1.8 miles and ran .2 miles.  They were excited to get the medal at the end.  Both of them tried really hard and did a great job.

Trip to Oregon 2013

Last week the boys and I took a trip with Grandma to Oregon to visit Uncle Randy, Aunt Kristen, Brady and Molly.  The drive is pretty long so we broke it up into two days.  The first day we drove to Baker Or and spent the night.  We got up the next morning and headed to Hermiston.  On the way we stopped outside of La Grande to play in the river.  We caught a crawdad and tried catching fish.

 We spent the next two days in Hermiston visiting and playing with cousins.  The boys had a blast playing with Brady and Molly and can't wait to go back to see them.

 We left Monday afternoon and spent the night in Caldwell Id.  The next morning we got up and went to the Boise Zoo.  We lucked out because they were having a dinosaur exhibit and a butterfly exhibit.  The boys love dinos and wanted their pictured taken with every one.

artown 2013

The month of July Reno has Artown.  It is basically of month of art, plays, singing, magic.  Anything artsy.  Monday nights are fun because they have family events in the park.  Tonight was a show called Unique Derique.  Before the show the boys had their faces painted, got balloon animals made and colored robot pictures.  Trevor chose a dinosaur and Cole asked to be a blue skeleton.  Cole was also excited to see Curious George.  It was a fun night and the show was full of laughs.  The boys also loved it because Grandma and Grandpa showed up to watch it with us.

Arch Rival: Superheros vs. Villans 5K

Craig and I participated in the Arch Rivals 5K this morning.  The boys watch the race so we dressed them up to match us.  It was fun to see all the unique costumes.  The boys met us towards the end and ran the last part and crossed the finish line with us.  It was a great morning.

Truckee Airfaire

We went to the Truckee Airfaire this morning.  We were able to see a bunch of planes on the ground and in the sky, booths, crafts, a kids area, and a sky diver.  The boys tried their first chocolate covered banana and got a blow up alien.  It was a fun morning. 

4th of July 2013

To celebrate the 4th of July today, we went to a parade in Fernley with Grandpa and Grandma.  Afterwards we went home and had a cook out.  If the boys are still awake we will try to see the fireworks tonight.
