Corn Maze

We took the boys to a corn maze this morning.  This is our third year attending this corn maze and we have never found the way out.  Usually after an hour of going around in circles we give up and go back out the entrance.  I am happy to say that this year we conquered it.  In about 20 minutes we were able to finally find the scarecrow at the end of the maze.  We were so excited we had to take pictures with him.

Plane Ride

We went to the Spanish Springs Airport Day this morning.  The boys and Craig were able to go on a plane ride.  The pilot was super nice and took a little detour to fly over our house.  He got low so they could see the dogs laying in the back yard.  The boys were really excited and have been talking about it all day.

Apple Picking

Yesterday we took the boys to pick apples at a U-pick apple orchard.  The boys each had a pair of scissors and were apple to pick as many apples as they wanted.   They were told to use the scissors to cut the step just above the apple so it didn't ruin the tree for next years crop.  They were super excited and picked over 9 lbs of apples.

Cub Scout Rocket Launch 2012

Today was our Cub Scout Packs rocket launch.  Trevor's rocket was the Riptide.  It was blue with shiney blue nose and tail.  The boys all had a blast shooting their rockets off and then chasing them down.  Trevor's did a great job and went super high.  He was so excited.

Great Reno Balloon Race 2012

This past weekend was the Great Reno Balloon Race.  We got up at 4 AM and loaded the boys in the car to go see dawn patrol.  They do a show where the balloons take turns glowing and then they lift off.  After that they blow up 87 more balloons and launch.  Sadly we went on Sunday and it was too windy for them to go up.  We did however get to see them blown up and get up close to them.

Garden Shop Tour

Cole and I attended the Garden Shop tour with our MOMS Club.  The kids got to see the animals, pumpkin patch and plant a seed.  Coles favorite part was seeing the donkeys.

Gold Panning in Virginia City

A couple of weeks ago while Nana and Pepaw were visiting we spent the day in Virginia City.  We looked at the shops, had lunch, went gold panning and toured Chollar Mines. 

Fire Fighers visit Cub Scouts

Tonight the fire fighters visited our den meeting.  They talked to the kids about fire, water and ice safety.  They also told them what to do if they have to call 911 to report an emergency.  After the lesson the boys got to check out the fire truck, hold the ax and see the jaws of life.  It was a fun meeting.

Horse birthday party

One of Trevor's school friends invited him to her birthday party.  The invite said games, pizza, cake and riding horses.  Trevor was really looking forward to the party all week.

The boys had a blast at the party.  It was fun going to a party that was different then the usually bounce house party.

Northstar with Nana and Pepaw

Last weekend Nana and Pepaw came to visit us.  We took them to Northstar one day to ride the gondolas and check out the resort.  The boys love to ride gondolas so they were in heaven.
