Happy Thanksgiving!!



Reno Tree Lighting 2013

Last night we went to the tree lighting in downtown Reno.  There was a choir that sang then they lit the tree.  Afterwards a couple groups performed ice skating shows including the cast from Ice Fantasy.  Cole loved the penguin mascot that handed out candy canes.  It was a fun night.

Meet the Turkeys 2013

We went to Meet the Turkeys at Rancho San Rafael Park.  We got to pet some turkeys and do a scavenger hunt.  The weather was beautiful and we had fun playing in the leaves.

Hiking the Donnor Snow Sheds 2013

This past weekend we hiked the Donnor Snow Sheds.  The Snow Sheds were built for the railroad so the trains could go through during the winter and not have to worry about snow on the tracks.  The railroad has since taken the tracks out and it is now a great place to hike, explore and apparently graffiti.  It was pretty cold and we got to walk through some snow which make the hike even more exciting.  It was fun and we plan to go back when it is warmer and hike it again.

No Brainer Run 2013

The weekend before Halloween we did the No Brainer 5K run.  It was fun to see everyone dressed up as zombies  Craig and I had fun coming up with our costumes and doing the makeup.  Can't wait til next year.

Halloween 2013

It was pretty cold tonight so we took the boys to the National Automobile Museum to trick or treat.  It was fun to look at the cars and play the games.  We also saw a magic show which the boys really enjoyed.

Sheriff's Office tour

Trevor went to a presentation at the Sheriff's Office with his Cub Scout pack.  They learned what equipment the officers keep on their belts, what inmates eat and got to test out the shields.

Bull Riding

We went to a pumpkin patch today that had a mechanical bull.  As soon as the boys saw it they wanted to ride.  They went really slow with Cole because he didn't want to fall off.  Trevor was a little more adventurous and wanted to go at medium speed.  It was fun to watch them try to hang on while sideways on the bull.

McKee Ranch Pumpkin Patch

This week we made a quick trip to Vegas to visit Nana, Pepaw, Aunt Keitha and he kids.  While we were there we took the kids to a pumpkin patch.  They loved seeing the animals and running around together.

Pumpkin Walk 2013

We went to the Pumpkin Walk at the Wilbur May Museum tonight.  The boys got to trick or treat from people in costume while walking threw a path of pumpkins.  It was cold but a lot of fun to see all the different pumpkins.

Andelin Farms Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we went to Andelin Farms Pumpkin Patch.  The kids love seeing the animals, doing the crafts, puppet shows and all the other fun activities.   Cole got to shoot a corn cannon and also participated in a chicken chase.  He got his hands on a chicken but couldn't quite catch it.  It was fun watching him try to catch a chicken that didn't want to be caught.  We also did the 3 acre corn maze and got a pumpkin.  It was a fun afternoon.
