Reno Rodeo Parade 2013

While Trevor and Craig were at Cub Scout camp, Cole, Grandma and I went to the rodeo parade.  Cole dressed himself in flag shorts, his boots and hat.  He was very excited to go to the parade and get candy.  A lady asked him what his favorite part of the parade was and his response, "Candy".

Trevor went to Cub Scout camp this weekend.  The theme was CSI.  The boys got to do tracking, DNA, Archery, BB gun shooting and much more.  He had a great time and came home exhausted but excited.

 The boys we all divided into dens.  Trevor was in den 3 with a lot of his friends.  Their den name was the Inspector Gadgets.

Rodeo Cattle Drive 2013

Today starts the Reno Rodeo.  We went to watch them bring the calves through Reno to the event center.  They boys loved waving to all the cowboys and watching the covered wagons.  Cole was excited and had to wear his boots and hat.

Baseball Storytime

We went to the baseball story time at the library today.  The Reno Aces mascot, Archie, read a book to the kids, signed autographs, they did crafts, danced and got tickets to tonight's game.  Cole loves mascots so he was very excited to see Archie.

Trevor's last day of 1st grade

Today is Trevor's last day of first grade.  The year has gone by very fast but he has learned a ton.  Can't believe I now have a 2nd grader.

T-ball Award Ceremony

Last night was the award ceremony for baseball.  Cole was very excited to get an award.  They called each team up by name and gave them high fives and gave the coaches their medals.  The boys loved running up to get the awards.

Spooner Lake Hike

 

Today we drove over to Spooner Lake and went hiking around the 2.1 mile trail.  It was nice to be in the mountains with all the huge trees.

Huge Moth

We found a huge moth on the side of our house.  It was 4 1/2".  The boys thought it was the coolest thing and checked on it though out the day.

First Succesful sleepover

Trevor and Cole often ask to sleep together.  We had tried a couple times but it ends up in hours of laughing, playing and eventually fighting.  This time it actually worked and they fell asleep within a half hour.

Awana Award Ceremony 2013

A couple weeks ago we had the Awana Award Ceremony.  Trevor received a ribbon for completing his first book.  Cole got an award too but was so fast I was unable to get a picture.

Cops and Burgers

 

 

This past weekend we went to an event called Cops and Burgers.  There were several old cars to see along with the police and highway patrol.  The boys enjoyed going to the booths and talking to the police officers.  Cole couldn't pass up getting his picture taken with the Applebee's mascots.

 We thought this sign described the boys pretty well. 

Run or Dye 5K 2013

We did the Run or Dye 5K today.  As you go along the course they throw colored dye at you.  It ended up being a hot day but we had fun getting colored.
