Cub Scout Pinewood Derby 2013

Today was Trevor's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  He chose to make a Matterhorn Bobsled car with Lego riders and Cole made a fish tank.

Trip to Sacramento

Instead of a birthday party this year, Cole wanted to go to Fairytale Town in Sacramento.  We decided to make a weekend of it and do some of the fun activities that were going on.  We left early Saturday morning and got into Sac about 10.  We went to Old Sac and checked out all the fun shops including a big toy store and a candy store.  Cole picked out a bag of gummie brains.  They also had their St. Patrick's Day parade so we stayed to watch that.

 After we checked into our hotel we went to Funderland.  It is a small amusement park near the zoo.  The boys rode on several rides including a dragon roller coaster and a train.

 Sunday morning we got up and went to Fairytale Town.  Cole was so excited we couldn't get him to stop running from place to place.  Both boys had a blast looking at the animals, going down the slides and their favorite was the crooked mile.  The place is all based on fairytales.

 

 We had a great trip and plan to go back very soon.

Cole's 4th Birthday

Today is Cole's 4th Birthday.  He woke up to balloons all over the floor in his room and the table decorated and full of gifts.  He was one excited little boy.  He opened his presents in 2.3 seconds and played with the toys for the rest of the day.  Instead of a birthday party this year he wanted to go to Fairytale Town in Sacramento so we will be taking him there this weekend.

Monster Jam 2013

We took the boys to Monster Jam today.  They were very excited to wear their monster truck shirts and headphones.  Cole woke up bright and early ready to go.

We all had a great time.  We are super excited to go again sometime.

Trevor's school award

Today was the awards assembly at Trevor's school.  He was chosen to win an award for great improvement in reading.  Along with his certificate he got a pencil and a certificate for a free taco from Del Taco.  He was so excited.

Creatures Exhibit

The boys and I went to the creature exhibit at Wilbur May Museum this weekend.  Cole was very scared of the creatures and wouldn't go near them but Trevor was a little braver and would at least get his picture in front of them.  We were also able to do a scavenger hunt and the boys got a prize once we found out the answers.
