Jog-A-Thon 2012

Trevor's school had their annual jog-a-thon today.  This event is to help raise money for the PE program.
They started out by doing some stretches.
 Listening to instructions
 Grabbing a quick drink
 Finishing his second lap
Having Popsicles after they were done.

Farm Tour

We went on a farm tour with our Spanish Springs group this morning.  We got to go on a hay ride, listen to a story, plant a pumpkin seed and feed the animals.  They boys loved the hay ride and feeding the goats the best.  It was a fun morning.

Mother's Day 2012

Today has been a great Mother's Day.  I woke up to some super cute cards from the boys and a scavenger hunt.  They had got me a set of knives and had them hidden around the house along with instructions on where to find the next one.  At the end I found the last knife and a beautiful flower.
There is a geocache in the middle of Sparks Marina that we have been wanting to find.  The only way to get to it is by boat.  We decided today is the day and rented a paddle boat and went out to get it.  It was a perfect day for it and we had a really great time.

Touch a truck 2012

We went to a touch a truck event this morning.  The boys got to sit in the trucks and honk the horn, shoot water from a fire hose and pretend they were on the news.  That had a lot of fun.

Cole's surgery

Last Friday Cole had his tonsils and adenoids out.  His surgery was at 11 am and he was not able to have anything to eat or drink after midnight the night before.  It was a long morning while waiting for the surgery but Cole did well and was in good spirits.  The surgery went well and the Dr. was happy it was done because there was a lot of infection.  It has been a  rough few days since but he is getting a little better every day.

Trevor is VIP

When I picked up TC from school on Monday he was carrying a white bag and was grinning ear to ear.  I asked him about it and he told me he was chosen as the V.I.P. for his class this week.  In the bag was the VIP Journal, a stuffed alligator named AL and an empty bottle.  The binder contained instructions of stuff for him to do or bring to class everyday for the week.  On Tuesday he had to fill in a page about himself and color it as well as bring pictures of his family.  On Wednesday he was to put up to 10 items in the empty bottle for the class to guess how many items were in there.  He chose to put in buttons.  Thursday he was to bring in a favorite toy and he chose his rock collection.  Throughout the week we were to take pictures of him and Al having fun and make a scrapbook page for the Journal.  He was to bring it back on Friday along with a special snack for the class.  Below are the pictures we took of him and Al for the Journal.
Trevor and Al brushing their teeth
 Wrestling with Dino
 Playing guitar
 Swinging
 Teaching Al to geocache
Trevor and Al's first magic show
 Wearing hats
 Hanging out in the tent
What a fun week we have had with Al.  We will miss him but he will have many more adventures with the next V.I.P.
