Yesterday we spent the day working in the front yard. When we bought our house the grass was dead due to not being watered all summer. We knew we would have to rip it out and start over. Yesterday was the day. We got up early and headed to Home Depot to rent a sod cutter. Craig worked on cutting the sod while I worked on cleaning up the dead sod and bagging it. After about 6 hours we had most of it done. They boys pretended to help but mostly just played on the rolled up sod.

Easter Morning
Easter morning the boys woke up to find their Easter baskets and eggs hidden throughout the house. They had a great time checking out what the bunny had left them and seeing what was inside all the eggs. They both found an Elmo egg with $1 in it.

Magic Beans
We gave the boys some magic beans to plant last night. After dinner we went out and planted them in the front yard. During the night the sprinklers watered them and we woke to find...
lollipops had grow.
The boys were so excited. Trevor is starting to get to smart for our tricky games. He asked how the beans had grown a wrapper on the sucker. Luckily with some quick thinking I told him it is like an orange grows a peel that we don't eat. I think this satisified his curiosity for now. Close call!!

Oxbow Nature Trails
Nana and Pepaw are here visiting for a few days so we took them to the nature trails. We had a great time skipping rocks in the river, climbing trees and hiking around. It made for a lot of great photos.

April Fools
For April Fools Day we decided to set up a couple of jokes for the boys. We set up a line of stuffed animals waiting to use the restroom. Trevor said he waited a bit but had to go bad so he had to move the bear off the potty to go but he put it back when he was done.
We also set up "Craig" reading the newspaper. Both boys came into our bedroom and said that someone was at the table reading the paper. It took them a bit to go over and investigate.
When they looked, this is what they found.
