Sweets Homemade Candies Tour

This morning we took a tour of Sweets Homemade Candies with our MOMS Club. The kids each got to dip an Oreo and pretzel in chocolate and wrap up their own fudge and Carmel.  It was a fun and tasty tour.

This morning we woke up to find Jingle "fishing" on our counter.

New Mantle

Our new house did not have a mantle above the fire place.  I love mantles and especially love to decorate them for holidays so we knew it would be something we would need to add.    We were super excited when the mantle arrived on Saturday.  It makes such a big difference.

Jingle Returns

The boys woke up this morning to find that our elf Jingle had returned.  He was just "hanging around" with a note for the boys.  It said "Hi Trevor and Cole!  Remember Me?"

The boys are already trying to guess where Jingle will show up tomorrow.

Our new patio

Our new house has a huge unfinished back yard.  We were going to wait until the spring to start any work but the wind kept blowing a lot of dirt in the house.  We decided to have our patio work done now to help reduce the dirt.

 The first day they came and leveled out the ground and laid boards to outline the porch.

Legend's Christmas Tree Lighting

Tonight we braved the cold for an hour to watch the Christmas Tree lighting event at Legend's.  It was fun to start the Christmas season off with Christmas music, The Grinch Stole Christmas story and the lighting of the tree.  The big finale was a fireworks display which was one of the best we have ever seen.  It was a fun evening.

Lake Mansion Jingles with Art and History

We attended the Lake Mansion Jingles with Art and History event today at VSA Nevada.  The boys got to visit with Santa where Trevor asked for a guitar for Christmas.  They were also able to do several crafts and tour the mansion.

Mickey Mouse Day

Today is Mickey Mouse's birthday. We went to a Mickey Mouse playdate and made Mickey ears and had Mickey cookies and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Michael's Scavenger Hunt

Earlier this week we went on a scavenger hunt of the Michael's Craft Store.  They taught the kids about the 6 elements of art by pointing out things in the store.  They decorated ornaments, got a hat, sucker, candy and stickers.  It was a fun event and the boys really enjoyed it.

Nevada Discovery Museum

Reno got a new children's museum a couple months ago and we had yet to go.  Not sure why we waited so long because the boys loved it.  After three hours I had to pry them out of there because I was starving.  It was a lot of fun to watch the boys play and use their imaginations.  We will be going back again very soon.
