Duck Festival

Today is the Reno Duck Race & Festival.  We aren't able to attend the race because we have a birthday party to attend so we went to the festival earlier in the day.  We walked along the river this morning while waiting for the festival to start.  The boys fed the ducks some bread and we watched the river.

The boys played the carnival games which included bean bag toss, ring toss, guess how may eggs are in the cage and pick out a duck from the pool.  Each game was awarded points for how well you do.  The boys both  got a rubber duck as a prize.
Trevor painted a very colorful frog and Cole painted a dinosaur.
The boys love to get their faces painted.  Trevor picked a rainbow???
Cole picked paw prints.  The event was to raise money for the Humane Society so I really liked his choice.
It was a fun morning and we had a great time hanging out down by the river.

Spider Hair

Trevor came downstairs this morning with two spiders taped to his head.  He said "This is what happens when you don't wash your hair, you get spider hair."

Reno Ace's Ballpark Tour

Today we went on a tour of the Reno Ace's Ballpark with our MOMS Club.  The boys dressed in baseball shirts and were anxious to check the place out.
They stood patiently by the fence while we waited for the tour to begin.

Humane Society Egyptian Festival

We attended the Egyptian Festival at the Humane Society today.  We got to play will the cats that are awaiting adoption which the boys loved.  They got their faces painted, made an Egyptian craft and get their picture taken with the big dog and cat characters.  We also sampled some food.  The boys loved the pita and hummus the best.

St Jude Trike-A-Thon

Today was our Trike-A-Thon for St Jude.  The kids rode their bikes and trikes around a small course.  Both boys were excited to wear their helmets after watching the bike safety video yesterday.

 Cole trying out his trike.
Grandma is visiting so she was able to attend the trike-a-thon.

Thank You to those that made a donation!

St Jude Trike Wash

We are doing a St Jude Trike-A-Thon this week for our MOMS Club.  We are holding it as a three day event that leads up to the big race.  The first day was a trike wash.  The kids rode the bikes, trike and ride ons through the car wash to get them clean for the race.

Big Red

We stopped by Save Mart today so see Big Red.  This is the huge shopping cart they bring out to celebrate Hot August Nights.  The driver actually sits up in the child's seat to steer the cart.  They gave away prizes and were selling ribs so we picked up some for lunch.  Yummy!!
