Sacramento Zoo & Fairytale Town Road Trip

This morning we woke up and decided to take a road trip.  Within an hour we were showered, dressed and in the car on the way to Sacramento.  This was our first time to the zoo and Fairytale Town and we were super excited.  We were asked "Are we there yet?" at least 100 times.  Finally after a two hour drive we were able to say "Yes, we are there."  Cole was really into the giraffes.  We had to go back and look at them several times.

Trevor's favorite parts were the snakes and the train ride.

Fairytale Town

After the zoo we walked across the street to Fairytale Town.

We had such a fun day.  I am already looking forward to our next road trip.

Reno Rodeo Parade

Yesterday we went to the rodeo parade with our friends Brooke, Blake and Hailey.  The boys loved seeing all the horses and dancers but especially liked it when candy was thrown in their direction.  Not sure how many pieces Cole ate but he went home with a blue mouth.

South Lake Tahoe Day 3

Today we rode the Heavenly gondola up to the top of the mountain.  It took us to an elevation of 10040.  It was so neat to see the lake from that high up.  There was still snow at the top so it was a little cold but we had a great time.

After we got back down the mountain the boys went to check out the fountain.

The rest of the day was spent having lunch, taking a small rest back at the condo, going for ice cream and going to a carnival.  It was a long but fun day and we are all exhausted.

South Lake Tahoe Day 2

We started our day out by going to the Visitors Center.  The Park Rangers told us about a trail we could walk around and learn about forest fires.  When we were done we went back and he asked Trevor questions.  For answering correctly he won prizes.  The trail was called Smokey's Trail.

The next trail was called Rainbow Trail.  This one went along a river.  At one point the river had overflowed the path so we had to take our shoes and socks off and walk across.  Trevor wanted to do that several times.
Along that trail you walked down and could see the fish under the water.
We ate lunch then went to Magic Carpet Golf.  The boys golfed 28 holes.

We went back to our condo to take a little rest.  After resting for 5 minutes the boys begged to go swimming.

After dinner we took a 5 minute walk from our condo to some of the snow that was left.  Now that it is warming up the snow is melting fast so it was pretty mushy.
The day is finally done and boy are we tired.  Can't wait for our adventures tomorrow.

South Lake Tahoe Day 1

We arrived at our Condo about 5:45 yesterday.  I got us checked in and was directed to our room.  Just up these stairs, to the right and up two more flights.  I said "OK cool, Where is the elevator?"  She said, "I'm sorry, there is no elevator only stair access."  Poor Craig had to make 5 trips up these stairs with all our luggage, portable crib, food and toys.
After checking in we went to a locals casino and ate in their restaurant.  The food was great.  Outside the casino was this huge yellow bike. Trevor really wanted to sit on the seat but I couldn't figure out how to get him up there.

Free Fishing Day at Sparks Marina

Last Saturday was free fishing day.  We took over to Sparks Marina and braved the crowds in hopes Trevor might actually catch a fish.  After an hour and a half there was no fish and the boys were bored.  We had a great time though and we would like to go again soon.

Creative Arts Center

We went to play at the Creative Arts Center with our MOMS Club. The kids got to paint, play with sand and water tables, play instruments and much more. Trevor spent most of his time playing with a marble track and Cole played in a big tub of beans.

Dairy Queen Tour

We went on a tour of Dairy Queen with our MOMS Club. They showed us where they store everything, wash dishes, make the cakes and cook the food. The best part....everyone got to make their own sundae complete with the swirl on top.
