Driving Go Karts

Trevor was invited to a birthday party at Coconut Bowl this weekend so while he partied we went out and drove the Go Karts.  Cole was able to drive the small ones himself and then got to ride with Daddy in the big ones.

PBS tour

We went on a tour of the PBS station with our MOMS Club friends.  We got to see the rooms where they edit, do voice over and produce.  Cole favorite part was the studio where he stood in front of he green screen.  He also got to see Clifford the big red dog.

Hiking May 2014

Last weekend we went hiking in Galena Forest.  They boys decided to take a bunch of silly pictures. They even got Dad in on the fun.

 

 

Egg Drop 2014

Trevor's school had their egg drop today.  This year Trevor put his egg in a loaf of bread made in the bread machine. We then put the bread in a small box so we could write his name on it.  Here is the egg going in before it goes into the box.  We stuffed the piece we cut out back in the hole.

Sacramento Trip April 2014

During Trevor's spring break we took a little trip to Sacramento with Grandma.  We went to the zoo, Fairy Tale Town and stayed in a hotel.

Pinewood Derby 2014

Yesterday was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  Trevor made his car look like a Creeper from Minecraft.  He loved seeing it race.  We didn't think it would do very good due to it's boxy design but he actually did okay.

Hike: Oxbow Nature Trail

Basque Monument Hike

Today we went on a hike with Grandma.  She took us on a short hike to see the Basque Monument and a special surprise.

 

The surprise was a swing.  Cole loved it and spun in circles for several minutes.

Cole's first lost tooth

On the 14th of March Cole lost his first tooth.  I noticed his tooth was getting looser so we were working on his tooth pillow.  I asked him to pick out some buttons for the eyes so he used his teeth to open the container.  As he was trying to open it out popped his tooth.  The look on his face was priceless.  He was super excited for his first tooth fairy visit.

Trevor had his science fair tonight.  This year he did a project we named Flavor Test.  He had us test out 6 different flavors of gum to see which lasted the longest.

First time snowshoeing

Craig and I have wanted to try snowshoeing for several years.  We finally had the chance.  It was so much fun and very relaxing to be out in the woods surrounded by snow and nothing else.  We can't wait to do it again.
