Trevor's Field Trip to Bartley Ranch

Trevor went on his first field trip today. They walked over to Bartley Ranch to see the old Huffaker School House and all the old buildings. Trevor's teacher asked Cole and I to go along and help with the kids. Trevor had a great time with his friends and Cole loved being one of the big kids.

Hiking Oxbow Nature Trails

Last weekend we took the boys to Oxbow Nature Trails. We had a great time walking along the river and looking at all the different plants and bugs.

Today we went out to Galena Creek Regional Park and went hiking. It is so nice to drive just a few miles outside of Reno and be in the woods.

Last week we had a rainy day. The boys were excited and wanted to go out and play in it. Trevor chose to wear the rain boots and use the umbrella. Cole picked the rain coat and a rain hat. After several times of Trevor taking the rain hat from Cole, he came in and found a new hat.

Touch A Truck

We went to a touch a truck event today. The boys got to climb in fire trucks, semi's, ambulance, moving trucks, etc.

The best part was going up in the cherry picker. Trevor was so excited. We had to wait in a long line but it was totally worth it.
Cole was happy when they said he could go too.

Mother's Day Tea

I was invited to a Mother's Day Tea in Trevor's classroom on Friday. The kids sang us several songs and did a poem. Then they served us a snack of cheese, crackers, muffins, fruit and gummy worms along with tea and punch. The kids did a great job and were so proud of themselves.

We went on a tour of Scheels with our MOMS Club today. We got to see the fish tanks, the inside of the animal mountain, shot guns at the shooting gallery, sampled fudge and rode the Ferris Wheel.

Meet Cheeto! He is the newest addition to the Anderson family. We picked him out yesterday from the Humane Society. So far he has been super sweet. He lets the boys love on him and pull his tail. He is going to be a very loved member of our family.

When we were at Lowes yesterday they gave us a free tree for Earth Day. They boys were super excited to plant it. They used the sand shovels they got in their Easter baskets to fill the pot with potting soil.

I told Trevor to go get his church clothes on this morning. This is the outfit he came back with. At least he got the tie right.

Cole wanted his picture taken after his bath.

The boys dyed their eggs tonight. It was a messy project but they had a great time.

We had planned to take the boys to a couple of egg hunts today but when we woke up to rain we decided to do some indoor activities. Lowes was having a workshop so we took the boys to make bird houses. They are both getting very good at hammering in the nails. Trevor made his almost entirely by himself.

This past week famous Christian speaker and author Julie Barnhill came to Reno to speak to our MOPS group. It took a lot of planning to get her to come and we were all very excited. The night before our MOPS meeting some of the ladies on Steering Team went to dinner with Julie Barnhill. We had such a great time and spent several hours talking and laughing.

We went to the Easter event at Circus Circus. The boys got to stop by all the games that had balloons and get candy and prizes. They did a great job finding all the stations.

Cole was given a special chocolate egg that he redeemed for a prize. The prize he received was a wooden box with two chocolate bunnies in it.
After we did the Easter event we rode the tram around the hotel a couple times.

MOPS Easter Egg Hunt

Today was our Easter Egg Hunt for MOPS. The boys waited anxiously behind the cement wall while the moms set out the eggs. Both of them did really well and collected their 12 eggs very quickly.
