Tonight we went to watch the Christmas Ships. Every night in December the ships float around with lights and some sort of entertainment. It was neat to see a bunch of boats lit up in one spot. Below is a video of the ships and the performers.

Duvall Tree Lighting 2014
Last night we went to the Duvall tree lighting. It was a very fun experience. It started out with everyone lined up along the main street. Santa came by in a horse drawn carriage. As he went down the street the businesses would turn on their Christmas lights when he went by. Then everyone followed him down to the park. There were several booths giving away hot cider and cookies, games, and pictures with the Christmas Heifer. Apparently that is a big tradition. The line was long with people waiting their turn. I will post that picture once we get it. There was a stage set up that had several performances going on from Christmas carols to school choirs. After awhile Santa came back in a fire truck and the "Christmas Tree" was lit. It was such a fun small town experience. It is fun to go downtown and you see several people you know. We love our tiny town.
Wild Lights 2014-15
We went to Wild Lights at the Woodland Park Zoo. The boys don't remember that we used to go in Phoenix so this was a whole new experience for them. It was super cold but a lot of fun. We hope to make this an annual tradition.
First Snow 2014-15
Over Thanksgiving weekend we got our first snow. While I am not a huge fan of snow it was beautiful. The boys played in it a bit and we took a couple of walks.

In Trevor's class we played a mummy game. Trevor was the mummy for his team and the other boys wrapped him with toilet paper.
There was about 18 layers on his face.

Heritage Festival
This weekend our town had it's annual heritage festival. It was fun to see all the demonstrations and activities. The boys painted pictures, made rope and ground corn.
Alpaca Farm
We went on a tour of a local alpaca farm. The boys got to pet and feed alpacas, goats, chickens and a goose. Their favorite part was going on a crazy tractor ride. The driver raised and lowered the bucket and the boys would scream and laugh.
